Speaker Projects

I'm sure this has been done before, but can the Radio Shack 40-1042 or any other open baffle drivers be used this way. Since we need 3 feet wide for the driver to work best... wings that can be opened or closed to fit into a room or to adjust the sound could be used. Bass module can be sealed or ported, but would sit at the bottom providing support so the wings can be opened all the way if necessary.

I wonder how opening or closing the wings will change the bass response of the 40-1042?
