50 Cent Full Range Driver with Lemon Squeezer Piezo

Here is my design for a small monitor type speaker using the Parts Express 50 cent full range driver and a piezo. I want to maximize the amount of speakers I can build and give away as house warming gifts over the next year or so. My thoughts were to bump the efficiency up by using 2 drivers instead of one (rated at 86db each) and putting the cheep lemon squeezer ($1.44) tweeter on either the front of the back.

With just one driver in a cardboard box this driver makes respectable music! A very small sealed sub provides additional bass extension. Treble is moderately extended without tweeter but one will be added soon. I think they are more efficient than 86db per watt and work nicely with the low powered Sonic Impact digital amp. Wood cabinets are in progress and will have a family resemblance to the red stained Straight Pipes beside them. Straight Pipes sound fuller and provide more realistic sizes of instruments like piano. Both have clean, clear and musical midrange. A tribute to single driver simplicity and design.
